Founder & Creative Direction of Emilia Mala

Emilia Mala is a London-based brand built around strong visual storytelling, with silk scarves forming the foundation of its identity. The brand is rooted in vibrant, hand-drawn print narratives, drawing inspiration from fine art, surrealism, symbolism and female empowerment, . This translates into a visual language defined by contrast — elegance and edge — expressed through considered colour stories and a subtle, mystical undertone.

As Co-Founder and Creative Director, I defined the brand’s concept and visual identity, leading all creative output across product, campaigns, and digital platforms, including seasonal storytelling and social media direction. I directed photoshoots, campaigns, visual assets, and e-commerce, while mentoring a small team to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.

The brand expanded into ready-to-wear and swimwear, translating its core visual language into new categories, and established an international presence with stockists including Harvey Nichols and the Design Museum, London.
